Why?

I guess the main question is why keep a blog? I've tried many a times before, but I was talking to a friend the other day and he made a good point - it's somewhat relaxing to write and vent when needed and only people who want to read will read. And really, in the end, things can be set to private and what to share is at my own discretion.

So, rather than starting with a huge background, I'm going to set a few goals for myself:
1) Keep this updated somewhat regularly, but no pressure to do it daily.
2) Get some feelings and emotions out and just get them on "paper" so they're not all bottled up.
3) Not worry about whether or not this is interesting, it can be a record for me, and whoever wants to read it.
4) Keep myself motivated and feeling committed to something.

What's on my mind today:
Work: So I have the school to work for during the summer, but I don't know if that will be enough. I told CDW that I'd work for her fairly "full time" over the summer but I'm slightly concerned about the pay and whether it will be enough to pay my bills. Also, I want to ensure that I get enough real world experience that my resume looks decent enough when I graduate. However, the jobs that are seeming to be open in Seattle are really not what I want. I guess I just have to decide whether I want to get experience and spend all summer doing criminal or PI work or do something I really enjoy and possibly leave myself in not such a great spot for next year.

Life: I'm really looking forward to summer, which of course relates to work. I'm looking forward to not having to go to class and have homework looming over my head all of the time. Really, I just want to be able to have fun on the weekends and go away when I want and not worry too much about it. That's the advantage to working for CDW because I can telecommute when necessary and not worry too much about it.

School: This semester has turned out to be quite disappointing. My classes are not at all what I expected and I'm finding that it leaves me completely unmotivated and that feeling spreads to the rest of my life. When I'm busy at school and interested then the rest of my life seems to fall into place. Now everything seems to be kind of off. I'm hoping that next year with more interesting classes things will get better. Also, I hope to get more involved with PAD and such. Hopefully going to the conference in AZ in August will help with that. Right now, at least, I'm super excited about it.

That's about it for now....more soon.
